“A state-of-the-art performance pavilion…”
Veterans Memorial Park’s 6-acre lower park, which replaces a decommissioned water treatment facility site, has been reimagined as a public commons that is both a regional destination and community landmark. The central feature of the park is a state-of-the-art performance pavilion that will attract regional and national events. The design includes multi-use greens, performance venues, native plantings to promote ecological stewardship, and a new access that ties it into a regional trail system. The new Amphitheater includes an attached hospitality and event space totaling 8,000 square feet. Event space includes restrooms, a catering kitchen, meeting area and dressing rooms. In addition, the project includes renovation of two existing buildings – a concession building and an open-air picnic area.
