Kerr-Greulich Engineers, Inc. shared in the excitement of the design and engineering of the wonderful new learning environment located in Frankfort, Kentucky that is Collins Lane Elementary School. Following in the school district’s vision to “create, lead, empower and strengthen students,” Franklin County’s Collins Lane Elementary School now has a brand-new facility to call home. The 60,000 square foot facility was built on the property adjacent to the existing school housing 800 students. The building layout features four separate hallways meeting at a central point and includes classrooms, offices, a cafeteria, a library, and a gymnasium. The facility is proud to feature state-of-the-art technology including Smart Boards in classrooms, automatic bleachers in the gymnasium, and serving units on wheels in the cafeteria.
