Congratulations to the architects and design team for the Southwest Regional Library in Louisville who recently won an Honor Award for Excellence in Architectural Design from AIA Kentucky.
The Honor Awards recognize works of architecture designed by Kentucky architects that demonstrate design excellence. The 2015 Awards Jury said that architects, JRA and Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd., design was an “ambitious project that established a memorable identity for a community library. There is a clear intent in planning and a point of view in the approach to materiality and forms…. The interior experience is generous, light-filled, with great views of the landscape and sky.”
Another project that Kerr-Greulich Engineers, Inc. was involved in, De Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop’s Wild Turkey Bourbon Visitor Center, also recently received a 2015 national award from the AIA Institute Honor Awards for Architecture. To learn more about this award and project, click here.
