“Charming historic chapel…”
This mid-19th century chapel, originally Bethany United Methodist Church was moved to its new home at Farnsley Moremen Landing. The goal of the renovation included preserving the historic facility while providing a beautiful space for weddings and other special events. A support building constructed adjacent to the chapel offers supplemental space complete with changing rooms for wedding parties. Kerr-Greulich Engineers, Inc. carefully designed the building’s mechanical and electrical systems to improve the aesthetic impact of the historic structure. The chapel, grassy courtyard, and brick patio area create a truly charming location for special events.
- Electrical service provided to the chapel from the support building
- Lighting design was a key component in highlighting the architectural elements and restoration of the facility
- Geothermal heat pump system to maximize the energy efficiency of the building while supporting the sustainable design goals for the project
- Low flow fixtures to minimize water use
