Breckinridge County Public Library
Breckinridge County Public Library is a newly constructed public library of approximately 10,000 square feet. It is a place for the community to come together through various activities and features that the library offers. Within the facility, there is a children’s area with books and activity tables. Outside there is a landscaped garden area featuring a relaxing seating arrangement. Kerr-Greulich Engineers, Inc. provided the mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing design for the project.
Highlights of KGEI’s design include:
- Combination of electric water heaters and instantaneous water heaters for optimal energy usage.
- Detailed pipe and duct design to provide uniform and consistent appearance within the exposed rafters. Refrigerant piping routed below the slab to minimize visible piping within the building.
- Exhaust and outside air louvers designed into the storefront window system.
- Charging station for electric car included in the electrical design.
